On Thursday, November 23, 2023, families everywhere in America gathered around their dining tables to celebrate over a hearty meal their many blessings.
Something I’ve been grateful for this year is my personal growth in my writing journey. Last year, I was blessed to become a published author for the first time. I was published in an anthology about the American Revolution, The Epic Story of 1776; 25 People, 13 Colonies, and 1 War. The second book in this epic trilogy was published this fall, The Epic Story of 1777-1779; Trials, Turning Points, and Triumphs.
But this season, I have something special planned.
I am publishing my own book.
Yes, that’s right. This Christmas season, Tales from Bethlehem will be available on Amazon. This sweet story focuses on three children growing up in Bethlehem around the birth of Jesus. Each of the children interact and meet the Savior in touching ways.
Samuel is a 12-year-old shepherd boy who’s bored of sheep and dealing with loss. Abigail is an 8-year-old girl who loves wearing the shawl her mother made her and having things go her way. Isaac is a 14-year-old boy who helps run his family’s busy inn. All three play a special part in helping Mary and Joseph, the parents of Jesus, the Son of God.
A heartwarming family read aloud; this story will give you a new look at the Christmas story.
I am thankful to everyone who helped pitch in to make this story possible, from my good friends. Christopher J. Watt for designing the spectacular cover, Bella Raine and her mom for editing and creating the lovely collage included in this post, my dad for reading Tales from Bethlehem and giving me his thoughts on it, and my uncle for answering all of my questions.
I am most of all thankful to Jesus, my Lord and Savior, who helped me write this story about his birth.
See you on the next page!
